RC5 Released
Another day, another update!
Introducing RC5, it's a pretty major update, however it's 2 AM here so you'll have to wait until tomorrow for the changelog. Stay tuned!

Changelog RC5:
- Objects that the player is carrying are no longer transmitted seperately from the player and rely entirely on the player's position.
In addition the objects are now sent to clients by a simple integer id rather than the entire object. This should result in significant bandwidth improvements
and will fix rare client crashes.
-Seperated player movement from the interpolation movement. This already fixes a few bugs with moving platforms and will allow me to fix the rest more easily
in a future update.
- Implemented passwords for servers. There are two different kinds of password you can set, a join password and a connect password. With a connect password
players will be unable to connect to the server without the password. With a join password players can connect to the server and spectate the game, but will be unable to
join and play unless they have the password. You can set one or both passwords for your servers.
- Springs and note blocks now have clientside prediction. Before there was a delay by your ping as the server applied the thrust, now it will appear instantaneously.
- We made a behavior change to note blocks. Previously you would stand on top of them to get the jump bonus and would lose it if you moved off of them.
With the change, you will still gain the jump bonus for the longer you stand on top of the note block, but you will not lose it when moving off and can activate the bonus
later by double jumping. This makes the blocks more useful and adds strategy to the game.
- Players with a note block jump bonus now have musical notes emitting from their feet. This is so you and other players will be aware that you have the bonus.
-All menus and pop-ups in the game have been re-skinned with a dark theme that will match the upcoming game launcher.
-Changed the graphics of waterfall, lavafall, and lava tiles to look more fluid.
-Occasionally when a player would teleport and becomes invisible, their nametag would still display. This has been fixed.
-If a player was inside of lava and the map reset due to warm-up expiring, the damage from the lava would still happen after the reset. This has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug where the player would have the firing or cape swiping animation end immediately upon releasing the fire key.
- Fixed a bug where the player would display the firing animation even if they were unable to fire due to the projectile being inside of the ground.
- Multiple jump sounds would sometimes play when the player jumped. Fixed.
- If the host transformed from a firebird and back into a player and had the cape selected, sometimes the cape would appear on the wrong side of the player. Fixed.
- Objects such as nametags would sometimes not update with the enemy position after a player connected to the server. This is now fixed.
- Due to changes in the speed of regular fireballs, their bouncing up slope behavior was broken. This is now fixed now.
- Removed the option for syncing projectiles from the options menu. It was an old setting that hasn't had any effect ever since projectiles were changed to use extrapolation.
- Changed the behavior of the main menu. Previously when joining or hosting a game, the room was changed. To make this more efficient and remove the need for the room change, a pop up for hosting and joining games appears instead.
- Fixed memory leaks on host game menu.
- The limit of 9 lives for race and clan arena modes has now been replaced with 99. Sorry for stifling your creativity :P
- Implemented the logic for accepting arguments from the launcher. The launcher is not quite ready yet, but will be soon.
- Fixed a rare bug where maps would break if more than 32 platforms or stretchblocks was placed on the map.
- Spying teammates was broken in a previous update and led to a stack overflow. This has been fixed.
- Fixed a minor stack overflow that occured when first connecting on a map change.
- Fixed multiple bugs in the skin editor leading to image corruption.
- Added the ability to shift frames left and right in the skin editor.
- Added the ability to edit individual frames of an animation in the skin editor.
- Extended the functionality of custom skins. Now you are able to create custom frames and animations for the player's cape and the firebird.
- Added the ability to change the sorting order for custom skins. This is useful if for example you have a frame of the cape that needs to be in front of the player instead of behind them.
- Implemented a new object called floating springs. They behave similar to moving platforms and can move horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or in circles. They are not yet in any maps, but will
be featured in the next version.
- Capture the flag was broken if the map reset due to a reference to an invalid variable. This has been fixed.
- Fixed the tutorial level.
- If friendly fire damage was enabled and you stomped a friend, they were not damaged. This is now fixed and the damage is correctly applied.
- Changing your name during gameplay broke the game. This was due to some experimental code for future game statistic reporting. This has been fixed.
- If a player carried a flag and died in the lava, the flag did not return due to some broken code. Fixed.
- Increased the rotation speed of homing rockets.
- If you opened an option on the main menu, you could still move the selection up or down by pressing the respective arrow key. This has been fixed.
